Intel has invested more than $1 billion in artificial intelligence

On the morning of September 19, Beijing time, Intel's investment fund actively invested in artificial intelligence. Intel announced today that it has invested more than $1 billion in AI startups through its Intel Capital arm. Intel, for example, is involved in the financing activities of Mighty AI, Data Robot, Lumiata, AEye and other businesses.

Intel's investments cover a range of areas, including driverless, medical technology and climate change research. In order to enhance AI technology, Intel will consider the investment field from a strategic point of view, which attaches great importance to autonomous flight, unmanned vehicle, automatic equipment inspection, edge AI calculation. 
 
In addition to investing, Intel has invested a lot of resources to make AI a key component of its core business. Intel has bought many small businesses, such as Nervana in 2016, and earlier this year bought Israeli car technology company MobileEye. 
 
Intel spent $16 billion on acquisitions, with the purchase of MobileEye for $15.3 billion, the majority.
